Schauer landscaping was founded in 1947 by jack show who still president of the company. During the fifties and sixties and seventies he provided sod in seating services to more rain country club NCR golf course General Electric building and many athletic fields for local schools including the University of Dayton. One of his greatest thrills was siding crosley field in Cincinnati - original home of the Cincinnati Reds.

In 1981 shallow landscaping incorporated and moved to its present location on clio room. At that time, they expanded their services to include landscape design and installation, residential and commercial maintenance, installation of paver patios, walkways and driveways, retaining walls, mulch delivery, custom woodworking, snow removal and Christmas trees and wreaths
